Brandy has been singing since she learned to talk. Her first musical performance was in the second grade talent show in her hometown of Hendersonville NC, and she has been on stage ever since. Throughout school she was awarded various vocal scholarships to music camps, played in the band, participated in theater and dance groups, and took advantage of any other performance opportunities that presented themselves over the years. Appalachian State University offered her a vocal scholarship to study there, so she moved to Boone and completed her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Communications and a minor in Vocal Performance. After graduation she toured with a southern gospel quartet called "Pure Heart," which sealed the deal for her to take the next step and relocate to Nashville. After being exposed to life out on the road, she knew that it was time for her to pursue her dream of singing full time. While she lived in Nashville, she performed at almost every venue on Broadway- including Legends, Tootsies, Full Moon Saloon, Paradise Park, Second Fiddle, Crossroads, and Cadillac Ranch. She also took up songwriting- and played countless songwriter nights over the years in venues like Douglas Corner, Crossroads, Blue Bar and many others- and was asked back several times to play her original songs at the renowned "Bluebird Cafe." She is excited to have gotten her first cut by another artist- with details to be released soon. Since relocating to the west coast, she has again become active in theater and on-camera acting, as well as modeling. In 2011, she played Mrs. Smith in the Metropolitan Performing Arts Academy's production of "Meet Me in St. Louis." She is working on an independent film, and has done a few episodes of NBC's "Grimm," and TNT's "Leverage." She has recently begun planning dates in Portland and the surrounding areas to perform with a local band. Please check back frequently for upcoming dates.
